Competence is half knowledge, and half what the body learned by doing it until it held. Three secrets built around a single life, read as ten phases: a rise, a fall, and the return that only forgiveness can complete.

Real competence is never just the diploma on the wall. Half of it is knowledge — and the other half is what the body learned by doing it, over and over, until it held. Life itself is the school that hands out that second half.

SGL reads that second half through a single life, taken as an old and well-worn parable: ten phases, from being chosen and seen, through the pit, through servitude and testing, all the way to the blessing waiting on the far side of forgiveness.

The circle splits neatly in two: five phases that build a person up and then break them down, and five more that bring everything back together through forgiveness.

Phases 1–5 · The rise and the fall

Being seen, daring to speak a vision aloud, hitting rock bottom, learning a trade in servitude, and holding a line under real temptation.

Phases 6–10 · The return

Matured, and reconciled

Prison that matures instead of breaking, being recruited, meeting the people who wronged you, family reunion, and the reward waiting past all of it.
